Sri Lanka’s prime minister – Mahinda Rajapaksa – has just resigned from office, prompting the formation of a new cabinet as the Asian country looks for a way to end a massive economic crisis.
The prime minister is the brother of current president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who has faced charges of nepotism and corruption for appointing three of his brothers to top positions.
